3 Practical Applications Towards a Better You
We are the sum total of our experiences. We are also creatures of habit. For most of us we let the routine of our lives run our days. As Jim Rohn once said, "you either run the day or the day runs you". Additionally, our brains are like a sponge, absorbing that which we allow to soak into it. All of this adds up to the person that we are today; our sum total. Here are three practical applications towards a better you.
Practical Applications
If you are the culmination of your experiences, then stepping into new experiences will change you as a person. Try something you've never done before. Join a group, lead a group, pick up a new skill, teach a skill.
Knowing that we are all creatures of habit, work on creating new habits. They say it takes 21 days to create a new habit. In the grand scheme of things that is a short amount of time. Mark it on your calendar, find an accountability partner and starting work on a new habit that will add value to your life.
Since your brain is a sponge absorbing what you put into it, then become hyper aware of what you are watching, reading and listening to. Do you spend countless hours on social media? Why not spend those same countless hours watching videos that will teach you new skills? Do you hang around negative people? Stop. Protect your brain. Feed it knowledge and positivity and it will serve you for the rest of your life.
