Does it Matter How You Get There?
Assuming you know where “there” is and assuming you’re complying with the law, does it really matter how you get to your goal?
If there was a reasonable way to “hack the system” or “crack the code” would you pursue it? I’ve often thought that most great businesses started with the simple statement of: “there’s gotta be a better way”. Maybe this statement is the root of innovation.
Granted there are many things in life that require time and perseverance for good reason i.e. going from white to black belt or earning your driver’s license, but beyond the things that require time as a requisite to achieve the goal, we should look to condense time, effort and energy whenever applicable (consider Parkinson’s Law).
As of late more often than not I am confronted with hesitation and naysayers, mostly from folks who have yet to even test new tools. For whatever reason their mind is made up that if it’s hard to do then it’s a safer approach. I say test first, judge later and by all means be aware of innovation and trends in your industry.
If there is a way to get to your goal faster, ethically, then get on with it.
Power to the Entrepreneur!
