Mental Health x Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship can sometimes feel like a lonely endeavor. Not all are built for the pressures and challenges that entrepreneurs face in a given day. At times these pressures can feel overwhelming and it’s not always easy to find someone to speak with. It is estimated that 1 in 5 Americans will experience mental health issues in a given year.
My hope is that you will implement systems to ensure you have optimum mental health. We (the world) needs the best of what you have to offer and you deserve to live a happy, healthy, productive life.
As an entrepreneur for many years here is what I have put in place to keep me in check mentally.
Regular Exercise - 30-45 mins in the morning routine, a walk around the block in the middle of the day and an after dinner walk. Great way to clear the mind.
Healthy Diet - I’ve been vegan for about a decade now. Whatever you can do to reduce the processed foods, grease and sugar will go a long way. And always drink tons of water.
Lots of Rest - I’m not one of those people who boasts that they don’t need sleep. I try to always get in 7-8 hrs.
Support Team - I keep a well balanced blend of solid individuals around me at all times; people that care about my well being and I can rely on to check-in on me and hold me accountable.
Now, go check in on your people…
