The Masterpiece
It is often said amongst musicians that scales are not music. Scales are simply a string of notes organized in a specific frequency/pitch. It's not until you add melody and rhythm that the notes magically become music (with lots of practice and mistakes along the way). With repetition, what seemed overwhelming becomes an effortless work of art.
In business/life it is easy to operate by rout; practicing scales so to speak. It's the messiness of mistakes (and mistakes corrected) mixed with repetition and dedication that will eventually birth a masterpiece, and it's the masterpiece that you're after, not the individual note.
