The Open Road is Calling
Driving across the country is a dangerous endeavor with a range of factors working against you - car accidents, reckless drivers, empty tanks and flat tires.
Sure, you can fly in a 10th of the time and a fraction of the cost while taking a nap or watching a flick, yet people still opt to drive across the country… why?
Could it be that choosing the difficult path creates more memories, experiences and grit along with the personal satisfaction that “you made it”?
If you fly from LAX to JFK your biggest challenge is getting in and out of the airport in one piece. But if you drive from LA to NY it’s reasonable to expect you’ll be a changed human by the time you arrive.
And so, you can take the shortcut in life and business and in many cases the path of least resistance should be applied to give you an edge… However, you can also choose adventure, which will require more and give more in return than any shortcut ever can.
It may just be time to hit the open road…
(note: I chose to write this vs prompting ChatGPT to write a blog on “adventure”)
