Strategy > Tasks
Beyond the To-Do's
The “year-end meeting” is upon us.
That’s when we ask the big three questions:
What worked?
What didn’t?
What are we going to do about it next year?
The goal is always the same: figure out how to make the next year better.
If your year-end meetings feel repetitive and you want to elevate the conversation, add questions like:
What needs to be true by this time next year?
Where is our bench the weakest, and what’s our plan to strengthen it?
Which mistakes are we likely to repeat, and how do we prevent that?
What parts of the business should we stop relying on going forward?
If we could accomplish only one thing next year - the highest-impact thing -what would it be?
Remember: the hallmark of a strong strategic meeting isn’t leaving with a long list of tasks. It’s ensuring that the tasks you choose actually support your strategic targets… not the other way around.
Poll Results: The results are in from last week’s survey:
72% of voters said they are master relationship builders
