Super Soldiers
As a business owner, developing your people is the single best investment you can make. Only next to developing yourself (of course).
The old saying still rings true: What’s worse than having a well-trained employee quit? Having an untrained employee stay.
Are you clipping the wings of your employees or are you creating opportunities for them to spread their wings. (are you even aware?)
Bear in mind, “developing your team” is an ongoing process that requires up-skilling, mentorship, experience and lots of reps. Asking them to join a bookclub once, 2-years ago ain’t gonna cut it.
Newsflash: as the business owner, you don’t need to have all the answers - or all the “great ideas.” In fact, I’d argue it’s better to let your team shine and see their ideas come to life within your organization.
Does this mean it’s full-proof or that they won’t fail - No. But it is better than the alternative - checked-out employees that are demotivated and uninterested in anything other than the 1st and the 15th.
Poll Results: The results are in from last week’s survey:
48% of voters said the days of hard work are coming to an end.
Upcoming Webinar: I’ll be moderating the “Due Diligence Playbook” next Wednesday, Feb 4th at 10a pst. Register here.
