Laying Bricks
We all say we want to “grow.”
But if we don’t define growth, then it becomes a nebulous ambition.
Who knows… maybe we’re not specific because we don’t want to be let down, so we settle for grand visions that never get accomplished.
Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Someone had to lay the bricks.
I’m not saying laying bricks is more important that sitting on the throne.
I am saying, the throne is impossible without laying the bricks.
And really - It’s who we become in the process of laying those bricks that matter.
Ultimately we need both: an inspiring vision AND some hands in the dirt.
Without the vision the toil feels meaningless and without the toil the vision will never be realized.
So whatever you’re building… keep a ladder nearby.
Poll Results: The results are in from last week’s survey:
100% of voters said they plan to develop their people this year.
