My Bad
Mistakes I made so you don’t have to:
I assumed the customer cared about my taste as much as I did. They didn’t.
I stayed with the wrong partners and team members far too long.
I didn’t replace myself soon enough. And I let the day-to-day keep dragging me back in.
I mistook tactics for strategy.
I went half-in when the moment required all-in.
I assumed I had more time.
I hoped instead of planned.
I never celebrated the wins.
I thought I knew best and didn’t seek wise counsel when I needed it most.
I underestimated the cost of inaction.
Each one came with a price. Some I paid in cash. Others in energy, time, and opportunity.
But this isn’t about failure.
It’s about learning fast, so we can move faster.
About owning the missteps, so we don’t repeat them.
And of course becoming stronger humans in the process.
