Peer Power
In the recent Arnold Schwarzenegger Netflix documentary he talked about his formative years where he locked in with a small tribe of bodybuilders who worked out together, competed against each other and encouraged one another.
It’s arguable that he would not have had as many world titles as he did without the support of his peer group.
Those titles gave him the financial resources needed to invest into real estate making him a multi-millionaire prior to becoming a movie star.
Which led to him being featured in a bodybuilding documentary called “Pumping Iron”.
Which led to him being one of the biggest action movie stars of all time.
Which led to him marrying a “Kennedy” and becoming Governor.
Sure he had a crystal clear vision, brutal determination and a killer work ethic, but we can’t discount the role that his positive peer group had in his success.
And thus, anyone looking to achieve massive growth in business should take a hard look at their peer group.
Who is challenging you?
Are you competing with worthy opponents?
Is anyone holding you accountable?
Do you have someone you can trust and confide in?
I urge you to find your tribe of successful, like-minded individuals that can provide wisdom, objective feedback, accountability and motivation. Because the road is long and often a lonely endeavor.
Regardless of what you call it (peer advisory group, inner circle, mastermind)… never forget that iron sharpens iron, so keep your blade sharp and stay pumped!
“You can call me Arny, you can call me schnitzel, you can call me kraut - but you can never call me a self made man because I’m not” - Arnold Schwarzenegger
Poll Results: The results are in from last week’s survey - 54% of voters have a successor in place for their business…
